Can I get paid for the care I already provide?
If you help a loved one bathe, get dressed, eat, use the bathroom, or move around the house, you may already be doing the kind of care Michigan Home Help assesses. Tell the assessor what help is needed each day; approval and paid hours depend on that assessment.
Michigan Home Help is designed for eligible Medicaid beneficiaries who need hands-on help with Activities of Daily Living and assistance with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living. MDHHS determines eligibility and what services are authorized. When the case is approved, an eligible caregiver can complete the required provider steps and be paid for approved care.

Do I have to already be a professional caregiver?+
